5 ways to do Goals (the right way)

Updated: Feb 25, 2022

If you're anything like most people, you probably made a New Years' resolution this year. And if you're human, you're probably over it already.

But I want to take some time right now to tell you that you're not a quitter. In fact, the mere fact that you've made it this far in life with all your struggles and tribulations tells me otherwise.

No. You're not a quitter- you just don't know how to do goals. You were probably given some B.S. version back in grade school about reverse engineering and how willpower is key to sticking to any goal (like I said), Bull. Shit.

That's why I've created this super quick guide. To clarify some things that we humans aren't taught about how to accomplish our goals in an easy, guilt-free, fool-proof way.

1. Daydream up the right goals. Do you know what the one thing most people have in common when setting their goals? They set goals they think society will approve of. They want to lose weight because society only sells certain sizes. They want to make more money because it feels like everybody around them is ahead in life (where society approves). They want love, because gasp! How embarrassing to be alone and not have a full family.

No. Enough. Sit down and daydream about what you envision your life to be. Even if your goal is to lose weight, make money, or fall in love, take it further. Take twenty minutes to daydream of scenarios where you are actually happy achieving those things.

If you can't see yourself having any of those, then you are never going to have them because it's not what your soul wants. If your soul doesn't want it, it will never put in the energy it takes to get it. Before you sign up for any goal, hype yourself up by daydreaming.

2. Speak them out loud. This is mostly about feeling your dreams are already real. The great Sonja Coquette (intuitive teacher) talks about this a lot. When you speak your ideas out loud, you can better feel whether you are heading in the right direction.

It is a good and easy way to get in touch with your intuition. Every chance you get ( I like to do it alone in my car) have a very loud conversation with yourself about what your goals are and what you're doing that day will get you closer.

This is helpful because hearing it out loud brings more emotion to it (which is key to manifesting) and will ramp you up to accomplish your goals for the day. Also, you will have a better sense of what doesn't feel right and what your body is asking you for.

3. Ask yourself lots of questions. You guys know I'm big on questions, and there is a good reason for that. If you ask yourself questions ahead of time for anything, your brain WILL look for answers.

It's like when you have a particular car on your mind, and then you see it everywhere. Or you think your significant other is cheating, and you keep finding "clues."

Ask yourself why you're doing what you're doing, how you're going to do it, how you're going to pay for it, when you will do it, who will help you, who can you trust to support you. Ask yourself everything and anything, and I promise if you surrender, the answers will fall on your lap.

4. Don't Obsess. Oof! I know this one is hard. How do you lose weight if you don't constantly obsess about what you do with your body? How do you know you're not missing out on love if you don't flirt with every person in a 2-mile radius? How do you make money if you don't obsess about where your fortune is coming from?

You have to learn to let go. Gripping something too tight doesn't give it space to move. Once you set your goal, let it go. Pretend you are already that person. You already have the money, the love, the healthy body.

And then just follow your intuition, and do the things and follow the signs the Universe sends you. You might have a friend invite you for a workout session that turns into a super fun weekly thing. You might get a job offer, or a new neighbor might steal your heart.

P.S. Sometimes, these signs don't feel positive. God might shine the light on your cheating spouse, so you can choose to move on or start a clean slate without lies. He might remove you from your current job so you can finally have no choice but to start your own business. Or you might get a terrible toothache that stops you from eating all those chocolates and candy you love to snack on.

The point is- the Universe is always working for you. You just have to follow the signs, baby.

5. Where Focus Goes, Energy Flows. This Tony Robbins quote is so potent. You cannot have the life you want and the life you don't want at the same time.

You have to decide. Who are you? Are you the fit girl or the excuses girl? Are you the girl that is loved? Or are you unlovable? Are you rich, or are you broke?

The Universe doesn't feel sorry for you. It just responds.

When you take full responsibility and decide who you are, your energy should be focused on that. Period.

Listen, are you human? Yes. Will there be times (especially during spiritual growth) when you will feel basically suicidal and like the biggest loser? Yes. Maybe your PMS is enough to make you want to skip a workout.

During those times, it's totally ok to give yourself grace and just say no. I don't care about making money today, or I don't feel like working out. I'm done for today. That's ok.

Just know that you have to put in some effort to get yourself out of the hole before it sinks further and you get stuck there.

Ok, my beautiful conscious babes. That's what I have for you today. If you love this, share it with someone who could find it helpful. I love you all so much.
